Rich & Earthy

Hope you have all had a really great day.
We got a little bit of sunshine and a lot of rain! At least it does give you chance to craft.

I thought I would go a little more rustic than my previous card. I used Bo Bunny Timepiece Collection Papers and one of the matching embellishments.

I used a Krista Smith (Saturated Canary) digistamp 'Orchard'. She is so pretty had a great time colouring her in.

I used the following colours of Promarkers:
Hair - Cinnamon, Cocoa, Raw Sienna, Shale.
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink
Apron - Apricot, Pumpkin, Ginger
Top - Marsh Green, Pear Green, Olive Green, Meadow Green
Skirts - Cardinal Red, Crimson, Burgundy

Last but not least a few flowers, some raffia and a rub on sentiment held by a Tim Holtz memo pin.

Have a nice night - see you soon.

Everything's All White.

What a lovely morning it is! The sun is shining and everything is well with the world.
I had an overwhelming urge to craft last night which wouldn't have been so bad but it was already midnight. I gave in and crafted to the early hours.
I bought some new digistamps yesterday from 'Saturated Canary' designed by Krista Smith and couldn't wait to use them.
Hope you like what I did.

The stamp is called 'Elphie' and she is just so delicate. I coloured her using my 'Promarkers':
Hair - Vanilla, Saffron & Apricot.
Eyes - Teal Green
Skin - Blush & Dusky Pink.
Clothes - Putty, Sunkissed Pink, Teal Green, Grey Green, Cool Grey 1 &2, Vanilla &Ivory
Broom - Cinnamon and Sandstone

I kept everything else really simple; white textured card, white lace ribbon, embossed frame, flowers and pearls and just a touch of 'pearl' Perfect Pearls to highlight the frame.

Thanks for taking a look.

Fairy Shimmer

I was having a little crafting session today in the sunshine and thought I would make a card. The ideas for the colours came from a Colour Throwdown Challenge. I really loved the combinations so I set too and this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

I just love her she is one of the Lilli of the Valley stamps as if you couldn't guess. I used some Basic Grey papers and coloured her with my Promarkers.

I then used stickles on her wings to give them that fairy shimmer.

CD Profile

I have been having a clear out and I have loads of CDs that I got free with the newspaper. I decided to do something a little different than just playing them - hope you like.

I made this hanging with an old CD which I covered with craft paper and layered with the BoBunny timepiece stack. The image was from an old birthday card, the flowers are made from the new Tim Holtz tattered flower garland die. After a meal out the after dinner mint chocolates came on a little plate with the doilies - both came home with me!

I used different papers and even tissue paper I had saved from a previous jewellery purchase. The beads on the centre of the flowers were again from my stash of broken jewellery my Aunt gave me.

Baby Dragon

I was asked to make a 2nd Birthday cake for a friend. Her little boy just loves Dragons.

She told me he didn't want to eat him and asked if he could keep him. Bless him!
Thanks x

Bygone Birdie

I just love Steam Punk and grunging things up. I got a little bird house from a shop in town - what else was i going to do with it? - Grunge it!

If I was a bird this is exactly where I would be living. I tried to make it really eclectic as if a magpie had been helping with the renovations.

The little mouse was from some old broken jewellery that my Aunt gave me. When I sew him I new precisely where to put him.

I really love my little bird house.

Sew... Many Happy Returns

I have been busy baking again and have had several birthday cakes to make one of which is below. My friend at work asked me to make a cake for her mum for her 50th Birthday and she enjoys sewing.

I made the pink sugar roses and then made buttons, a sewing needle, scissors and a bobbin of cotton to place on the cake.

My friends mum loved it and her Nan took it the neighbours to see before anyone could cut it.
Thanks x

A Christmas Past

Ok! So I realise that it is far from Christmas but I made these as gifts last year for my bests friends Clare and Charmiane (your both amazing!). I haven't had chance to add them to my blog but after being several threats of violence thought it was time to do it - so here goes.
This is the calendar that I made for Charmaine using the gorgeous Tim Holtz embellishments. I also used the Kan Ban Industriana papers. I love Steam Punk!

I also made a diary cover in a similar colour scheme for Clare using Tim Holtz also. I had a really great time making both gifts.

I hope the girls liked them as much as I did my gifts from them.

Thanks for taking the time to look!
